This post has been updated to reflect the new date for Prince George’s County's launch of Capital Bikeshare and Bike to Work Day activities which are now scheduled for Friday, June 1.

The wait is officially over! Capital Bikeshare is excited to welcome Prince George's County to the family which is the sixth jurisdiction to join Capital Bikeshare. Stations open on Friday, June 1, alongside Bike to Work Day celebrations.

Where Can You Find the Stations?

Stations are located in Largo and Hyattsville with an expansion planned along the Route 1 corridor and National Harbor. Current locations:

  • Baltimore Ave & Van Buren St/Riverdale Park Station
  • Baltimore Ave & Jefferson St
  • Perry & 35th St
  • 1301 McCormick Dr/Wayne K. Curry Admin Bldg
  • Largo Town Center Metro

Join the Celebrations on Bike to Work Day

Prince George's County has prepared a host of activities to highlight the arrival of the bikeshare system alongside Bike to Work Day. The fun takes place from 7:30am until 9:00am outside of the Wayne K. Curry Administration Building at 1301 McCormick Drive, Largo.

For anyone interested in exploring on your bike, County bike police and local cycling group, The BeechTree Pedalers, will lead convoys from the event location to the Largo Metro Station and back. Stay on site for an exciting announcement about Capital Bikeshare and Prince George's County from County Executive, Rushern L. Baker, III.
