In 2016, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) released a Capital Bikeshare Development Plan to guide the continued growth of Capital Bikeshare within the District of Columbia.
Since the release of the original plan, there has been a revolution in micromobility among other significant changes to the bikeshare landscape. In 2019, DDOT commissioned an update to the 2016 Plan. We are proud to share a draft of that Plan Update here and encourage you to share feedback. Any comments or feedback on this draft of the Plan Update can be shared with ddot.bikeshare@dc.gov before May 6th, 2020.
It is important to note that this Plan Update was drafted before the public health emergency caused by COVID-19. The Plan Update does not take into account the current CDC and local health-related guidance or state of the economy. Any comments or feedback on this draft of the Plan Update can be shared with ddot.bikeshare@dc.gov.
