Thanks to thoughtful input from residents, leaders, and visitors, the City of Falls Church becomes the seventh member jurisdiction to join the Capital Bikeshare system, and brings the total number of stations systemwide to over 550.
Last week, our operations team began installing 11 stations in and around the City of Falls Church, which will add another sustainable transportation option to streets in The Little City. Soon, you’ll be able to check out or return a Capital Bikeshare bike at the following locations:

George Mason High School / Haycock Rd & Leesburg Pike
Park Pl & N Washington St
N Oak St & W Broad St
Pennsylvania Ave & Park Ave
E Fairfax St & S Washington St
W. Broad St & Little Falls St
N Roosevelt St & Roosevelt Blvd

Falls Church City Hall / Park Ave & Little Falls St
W Columbia St & N Washington St
Stations will be active later this week, and you can rent bikes on the Capital Bikeshare app, by using your member key fob, or by using the touch screens on any station kiosk. You can find more information about Capital Bikeshare and how it works here.
For residents of the City of Falls Church, a Capital Bikeshare annual membership is a great way to get the most out of your newest transportation options. For as little as $8 a month, you can get unlimited 30-minute trips from station to station. Use Capital Bikeshare to get to Metrorail, make short trips in your neighborhood, visit shopping and dining destinations, and more! Capital Bikeshare in the City of Falls Church received capital funding from the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority. The City was awarded operating funding from the I-66 Commuter Choice program, a partnership between the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission, that uses toll revenues to support transit and multimodal projects in Northern Virginia.
