Capital Bikeshare is a fun way to see the sights and get to local attractions. Take a bike out for a ride around the National Mall or explore the trails and scenery along the Potomac River.
A Day Pass is $8 and includes unlimited 45-minute rides on classic bikes. Ride longer than 45 minutes and pay $0.05/minute. Day Pass members enjoy no unlock fees and a discounted rate of $0.10/min on ebikes. See additional pricing for ebike parking information.
24-Hour Passes can be purchased in the Capital Bikeshare mobile app or from a kiosk. Check out the step-by-step instructions to buy a pass and unlock a bike. Please note ebike rides can only be purchased via the Capital Bikeshare mobile app.

Ebike parking is free at Capital Bikeshare stations. You’ll be charged $2 for parking an ebike at a public bike rack in the service area. Take as many rides as you want while your membership is active!
If you upgrade to an ebike or incur any extra time fees, your card on file will be charged. The fee for a lost or stolen bike is $1,200.
